The Renault Twizy is the star of a new concept for tourists in Paris. Twiztour invites visitors to get behind the wheel of a Twizy and see the sights of the French capital following a special tourist-friendly GPS route. Alternatively, they can opt  for a personalised tour by following a guide who is also driving a Twizy!

The all-electric Twizy is ideal for zipping around the narrow cobbled streets of Paris and has the added benefit of being easy to park in the smallest of spaces – something that is not negligible in Paris's busy streets.

If you thought Paris to the South of France in an electric vehicle on just one charge could not be done, think again.

Thanks to an innovative partnership between Nissan and French national rail company SNCF, Nissan LEAF drivers can take their car on vacation without worrying about battery range, motorway tolls or the stress of dealing with vacation traffic on a long journey. 

“It was brilliant,” said Caroline Seow after her test drive in a Renault Zoe around Edinburgh. So brilliant, in fact, that she decided there and then she wants to buy one when she gets home to Singapore from TEDGlobal 2013.

Caroline, Executive Director of the Family Business Network Asia, sought out Zoe Project Director Simon Luque to find out when the car would be available in Singapore. He told her it would be soon… and he promised she would be one of the first customers.

Held in Edinburgh and with the Renault-Nissan Alliance as a partner, TEDGlobal covered a vast variety of topics, all of which were designed to make every attendee ‘Think Again.’

In February, CEO Carlos Ghosn announced Nissan would return to Le Mans - the world’s oldest sports car endurance race - in 2014 with an entry in Garage 56, a slot reserved for experimental vehicles pioneering new technology.

On Friday June 21 at 10:30 am, Nissan will reveal its 2014 Garage 56 entry - an all-new race car incorporating electric technology.

At least 200 attendees have taken either drives or rides in the fleet of Alliance electric vehicles at TEDGlobal 2013 in Edinburgh.

While the Renault-Nissan Alliance concentrates on developing world-beating electric vehicles, we also work closely with companies like ABB that deliver the infrastructure needed to permit the rapid growth of sustainable personal mobility.

Like the Alliance, Swiss-based ABB is a partner at TEDGlobal 2013 in Edinburgh and it has a thought provoking display at the event. ABB points out a simple truth: the world needs more power. More than that, it needs to be clean power, intelligent power.

Interest in our fleet of electric vehicles at TEDGlobal 2013 in Edinburgh is running high. The short breaks between conference sessions see the Nissan LEAF, Renault Zoe and Renault Twizy out on the streets of the city giving attendees test drives and rides.

The Renault Zoe, Twizy and Twizy F1 were put to the test recently by one of the world's best pilots -- triple Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel.
