Infiniti unveils QX30 compact crossover in L.A. and China
Infiniti unveiled its new QX30 compact crossover at the Los Angeles and Guangzhou, China, auto shows earlier this month. The premium model, which will be built at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the U.K., goes on sale next summer. Just like the Infiniti Q30 compact hatchback, the QX30 uses components from Mercedes-Benz’s compact car architecture.

Infiniti starts local production in China

Infiniti has begun local production in China, the world’s largest automotive market. The first Infiniti Q50L rolled off the assembly line at the Dongfeng Nissan Xiangyang Plant in Xiangyang, Hubei Province earlier today. The long-wheelbase version of the Q50 premium sports sedan is Infiniti’s first localized model in China dedicated to Chinese consumers.

Dongfeng Infiniti ready to storm the Chinese market

A new force in China’s burgeoning luxury car market has arrived with the creation of Dongfeng Infiniti, a joint venture between China’s largest car maker and Nissan’s premium brand.

As well as importing cars into the country, the new company will build new Infiniti models in China with the aim of raising annual sales there to 100,000 units by 2018.

Infiniti Decherd Powertrain Plant begins assembly of 2.0L turbo engines for Infiniti Q50 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Infiniti began assembly, on June 26, at the Infiniti Decherd Powertrain Plant, a collaboration between the Renault-Nissan Alliance and Daimler AG. The first engine to be assembled at the all-new facility is a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline 4-cylinder developed by Daimler. The engines will initially be used in European versions of the Infiniti Q50 sports sedan and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class assembled in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
