Progress of Nissan CO2 emission reduction

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. made great strides in reducing CO2 emissions and improving sustainability in its global corporate activities in fiscal year 2014 while simultaneously increasing vehicle production and plant energy efficiency. The company achieved a 22.6 percent cut in CO2 when compared to fiscal year 2005, thus achieving its goal to reduce CO2 emissions from corporate activities by 20 percent during that period.

Nissan announces vehicle recycling results for FY2014
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. shared the progress report on its recycling/recovery efforts in Japan for fiscal year 2014 (April 2014 to March 2015). Nissan announced its recovery results for Automobile Shredder Residue (ASR), airbag-related products, and fluorocarbons recovered from end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) in accordance with the Japan Automobile Recycling Law*1.

Corri-Door project: first electric vehicle charging points are put into service
The first two fast charging points for electric vehicles are now operational at the Bosgouet Nord (A13) and Tardenois Nord (A4) motorway service stations operated by SANEF. The charging points, which can charge an electric vehicle (EV) in under 30 minutes, are part of a national scheme co-financed by the European Union (TEN-T Programme) and a consortium of electric mobility stakeholders led by the EDF Group. Corri-Door represents a major breakthrough for vehicle range and a massive step forward for the development of electric mobility.

Auto companies join forces to boost the benefits of zero-emission mobility
Producers of battery-powered electric vehicles are joining forces to further the popularity of zero emission cars and vans. A coalition of car makers, led by the Renault-Nissan Alliance and including BMW and VW, are helping to finance a number of Europe-wide rapid charge networks forming part of the EU’s Trans-European Transport Network programme (TEN-T).

Bolloré Bluecar assembled at Groupe Renault plant in Dieppe
Industrial cooperation agreement
In June 2015, the Groupe Renault Dieppe plant in northern France starts assembling the all-electric city car Bluecar, from bodies and parts brought in by Bolloré. Groupe Bolloré is phasing in assembly by Groupe Renault of its Bluecar model, previously only made in Italy. At Dieppe, the agreement is warmly welcomed for its positive impact on employment and as a sign of recognition of the plant's capabilities and know-how.

Connecticut unveils rebates for EV leasers, buyers and sellers
Residents of Connecticut, USA will soon benefit from significant financial incentives to buy or lease EVs thanks to a new state-wide initiative. A $1 million fund will be used to attribute rebates of up to $3,000 to local inhabitants, businesses and municipalities.
